September 21, 2018

The men’s cross country team returned to action Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge. Christian Parenti (‘19) led the Rangers, completing the 8,000 meter course in 34:00 minutes. His time was good enough to place him 113 out of 128 runners across competitors from two NCAA Divisions.

Tony Phan (‘22) finished the course in 59:02 minutes and Neelesh Kantheti (‘22) clocked in at 59:03 minutes. The men’s team did not receive a team score as they did not have the minimum five runners entered into the race.

On the women’s side, Violet Kimble (‘21) was the top finisher for the Rangers as she ran the 6,000 meter course in 29:06 minutes. Her time placed her 87 out of 105 runners. Mollie Ankrom (‘21) was not far behind her teammate, crossing the line in 30:57 minutes for 98 place.

The Rangers also had Gabrielle Garcia (‘21) finish in 35:42 minutes. Arya Bondre (‘21) came in at 35:42 minutes, and rounding out the group was Paula Lopez (‘20) at 40:00. The team finished in 11 place.

Both the Rangers men’s and women’s cross country teams will return to action this Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Stockton University Osprey Open.
