XC Runs at ECAC Championships

On November 3, the Drew University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the ECAC Division III Championships.


On the women’s side, Violet Kimble (’21) led the Rangers with a 24 place finish out of the 61 competitors. Kimble came in with a time of 29:52 in the 6,000-meter course to receive All-ECAC status. The Rangers only other qualifier, Mollie Ankrom (’21), took 32 in 30:36.


The men’s squad was led by Christian Parenti (’19) who placed 37 among 81 runners. Parenti finished the 8,000-meter race in 33:19. Nick Smale (’19) followed with a 71 place finish in 38:06. Tony Pham (’22) was timed at 39:25 and placed 74, Tony Colbert (’19) came in 78 in 40:54, and Neelesh Kantheti (’22) finished 81 with a time of 44:32.


The Rangers will close their 2018 season on Saturday, Nov. 10, when they compete in the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Championships which will be held at Gloucester County Dream Park in Logan Township.
