Drew men’s swimming and diving came back from their extended break this weekend as they went on the road to take on the Goucher Gophers. The long trip to Maryland did not seem to bother the Rangers as they won 10 of 11 races and embarrassed the Gophers in diving, running up the score 125-59. With this win Drew improved to 4-3 on the year.
Matheus Macena (‘21) and Alexandre Sannibale (‘21) led the way with victories in both the 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, and 200 freestyle. Other victories for the Rangers included Michael Ma (‘20) in the 200 butterfly, Josh Roberts (‘22) in the 1,000 freestyle, Jack Mahoney (‘20) in the 500 freestyle, and Patrick Nowack (‘22) in the 200 breaststroke. Drew also swept both the 400 freestyle and medley relays to complete their domination of the Gophers.
The Rangers will be back in action on campus this Sunday at 1PM in the Kirby Pool against Ramapo.
